Whilst there doesn't appear to be any pieces missing there are numerous small tiny little holes dotted around the subject mainly to the shoulder area and the front of the chest, there are not pieces missing but they are small holes whether they are tiny chips or some type of minor flaw, on the reverse side the top left corner of the slate there is some minor damage in the form of chip - small piece missing, there are also 1 or 2 minor scratches, nothing to severe just below the beard. The gilt frame is in generally good order but there is some gilding missing along the bottom edge.
