A harlequin set of six 19th century elm, ash and yew Windsor chairs, with pierced splats, saddle seats and crinoline stretchers, H.2ft 11in.

All six chairs are of similar height, difference in height range is probably about 2 inches but most of them are very close, all the slats are of the same pierced motif and all have six bar backs, saddle seats show varying amounts of wear, turning to the front supports for the arms all have a similar baluster effect, all have similar crinoline stretchers, three of the chairs have triple ring turning to the legs, two have slightly fatter single ring turning and one has slightly slimmer single ring turning. The chairs have been polished fairly recently and have a similar rich slightly gingerish tone, all of the chairs are solid with tight joints.
