A 19th century brass bound teak military chest, of two short and three long drawers with brass handles, W,3ft 3in.

No feet present. Pegs missing from the middle joining the two sections. The top appears quite worn with some colour fading and there are numerous surface scratches and indentations, including two small holes and a small repair. There are also some hairline splits emanating from the sides towards the centre. The top right drawer has a missing escutcheon and a replacement lock. The front of the chest is in generally good order but with scuffs, scratches and indentations conducive with age and use. The left and right side of the lower section have a patch (repair)? to the top edge. Both areas also have a piece of wood missing (damage) directly next to the patch, the left side being larger. Metal bracket missing from back lower left corner. There are two pieces of wood missing (damage) from the lower right side of the base. There are some visible gauges to the wood on the lower part of the right side of the top section. There is a split to the top of the back panel of the top and lower sections, the lower section also has some wood now missing (damage) from along the top.
