Oil on original canvas now showing a very slight sag, stretcher marks showing along with a fine but stable craquelure which runs through the entireity of the work, paint also rather dirty. Signed and dated lower right, in an old gilt scroll frame which has been overpainted green and has some damage to the moulding, charcoal sketch of a female nude verso.
Overall in untouched original condition, canvas does look a little dry and may well be in need of a reline to prevent the paint drying out further and flaking.
