A Chinese white and russet jade carving of a luohan, 18th / 19th century, the seated figure holding his hands in contemplation, the reverse of the carving with a russet skin, 6.7cm, neck broken and restuck, intricately carved rosewood stand

The figure has been broken at the shoulder and neck and messily re-glued with some slight losses to the jade around the area, there is also a shallow chip to the jade lower left below the figures right knee, the wood stand is grubby within the carving and is lacking four feet on the flat base.
