Oil on a wooden panel showing a series of horizontal fine splits running throughout the work clearly due to the plywood that it has been painted on, otherwise good, looks clean with bright fresh colours and no sign of any cracking or flaking, signed just to the right of centre, in a fairly modern gilt frame which is in good condition, labels verso for J J Patrickson of Chelsea and Waring & Gillow Depository. Inscription verso 'Purchased initially by J. Alan Lockshaw, 1927 or earlier'.
