A Japanese ivory okimono, Meiji period, depicting a seated man and a boy holding chopsticks by a kettle on a fire, with various objects around them, engraved four character signature to base, 7.6cm., slight losses

Small section of the handle of the kettle is lacking and the suspension cord hanging down is detached from the other part of the handle which is present, there is a section of the stick lacking in the boys left hand, possibly part of one of the branches forming the support for the kettle is missing at the top, a little bit grubby otherwise good condition.
