A large Davenport stone china water filter, c.1830, printed and over-enamelled with Asiatic pheasants amid flowering branches, puce printed Royal coat of arms and inscribed 'WALKER AND WILLATS ASCENSION FILTER, BY APPOINTMENT TO THE KING', blue printed marks, 44cm.

Both the cover and base bear Davenport marks.
One handle has been broken and restuck with some tiny slither losses around the area. In the photo's you may notice some of the enamelling looks very opaque in places, possibly overpainted in manufacture or later - difficult to say, there are a number of small occasional shallow chips around the top edge of the cover, there is no spigot tap at the base otherwise good condition.
