An L.E.F. Bodart Delft lustre wall plate, c.1920, decorated in the Arts and Crafts manner in shades of iridescent pinks and purples, with a winged mythical beast within stylised concentric borders, underglaze marks to base, 23cm

Softer patchy glaze around the rim affecting almost half the plate where it has obviously slighly mis-fired in the kiln and there is a matt metallic finish, occasional instances of crazing to the glaze as well as other typical minor firing imperfections.
