Two WWII Royal Marine related photograph albums, the images captured and collected by George Hollingdale and his brother Len Clark, Royal Sussex Regiment and Dunkirk veteran, the albums comprise an interesting and important record of their experiences including an annotated selection of photographs including; official Royal Marine photographs and postcards of events they witnessed, including military and naval vessels; the warship H.M.S. Barham, Scarpa Flow, General de Gaulle inspecting a ship, the sinking of the Italian cruiser Italioni Colianni, the aircraft carrier Illustrious on fire during a battle, H.M.S. Liverpool with battle damage to her bow, (apparently George Hollingdale recalled being aboard one of the damaged ships the day before it was hit), as well as several other images of damaged battleships, Italian prisoners of war, aircraft and ships in Crete, West African images, Jerusalem, Trinidad, Bermuda, Berlin, etc.
