A large Chinese famille rose two-handled vase, mid 19th century, one side painted with ducks and insects amid lotus, the reverse with blackbirds amid blossoming branches, between a band of lotus petals of alternating colour, the neck applied with a pair of pomegranate shaped handles, on an olive-brown ground, painted with leaves and scrolling tendrils, the foot with lotus flowers, leaves and scrolling tendrils on a yellow ground, 60.5cm high, sections of rim lacking,

Condition:
The rim has two sections missing, with old restoration residue in surrounding areas which can be removed. Several glaze cracks to the shoulder and base that do not penetrate to the interior, several glaze cracks also to the inner rim/neck. Several light surface scuffs/scratches throughout.
