A framed cross stitch, alphabet sampler, by Kathleen Pearson, aged 8, dated 1911, worked in cross stitch with a decorative border of trees, vines, flowers with five spot motifs of blackbirds and a cat, the central panel mainly worked with rows of alphabet letters, finished with a small verse, name, age and date, 27.5cm wide x 48cm high. Condition - the silk has faded due to sunlight, there are some light stains to the edges, but there is no moth and both fabric and embroidery are good. The frame needs attention.
