A late 19th/early 20th century Swiss ‘’Black Forest’’ carved wood hall stand, the mother bear depicted wrapped around the base of the tree, and a bear cub playing in the branches, the base incorporating a stick well, 216cm high

Condition:
There is some minor wear and losses to the surface finish of the wood. There are also some minor contraction cracks where the wood has dried out as well as some damage to the shoulder of the larger bear. Most of the joints are loose and somewhat ill-fitting. There is also other scuff marks and historic wear through use. The end of one of the branches is broken and a section is missing. Two other branches have broken and been reattached.
