Condition:
Some spine wear and a lt. to covers (with some scratches), joints tender and front inner hinge cracked, dedication leaf and first map (following title) loose, ded. leaf frayed with tears at fore-edge (text just saved), text mostly clean, plts offset mostly inoffensive, title frayed at lower edge - but well clear of printing. Maps mostly pictorial - I (at front) good; 2 (Gen.2) good; 3 (Nehemiah), Temple Plan, side and lwr. edges cut close/cropped and sm. tears, sl. loss; 4 (N.T. title) rh. edge sl. cropped and sm. tears, with sl. loss; 5 (MarkI) v.sl. loss lh. edge; 6 (Acts I) good. Collates complete, unpaged, Bible text ends 6U2, Index/Tables end 6Z4. Plts. have 2 images each (i.e.262 illus); see Herbert 1286 (and 1287). The Clarendon printers were W. Jackson and A. Hamilton; Sturt's (undated) title has 'Sold by W. Dawson...' Incl. Apocrypha, d.col. printing
