Condition:
Oil on canvas with an old relining, canvas now rather saggy, a pronounced horizontal line running across the paint approx 8 inches down from the top which shows from the other side as a dark line with further other dark lines showing towards the right hand top corner, perhaps this is where the canvas has been patched or inserts added, otherwise looks rather dark and would benefit from a clean, a small 1 inch dented tear near her hand just above the central figures head, further small scuffs and scratches throughout the work, housed in an antique moulded gilt frame equally scuffed and dented, no labels or inscriptions verso.
