Condition:
Oil on canvas sealed at the back is thought not to be relined albeit that now there is a fair amount of undulation to the work and it would benefit from re-stretching, a number of small surface scuffs most notably at 3 and 9 o'clock, otherwise some small dirt splashes, housed in a later gilt frame with details of the sitter inscribed verso. Is relined but not laid on board.
