A Chinese archaistic jadeite two-handled vase and cover, first half 20th century, of flattened baluster shape, the neck with a pair of dragon head ring handles above low relief taotie masks and lappets,

Provenance- from the collection of the vendor’s late father who collected Chinese works of art in Hong Kong from 1950 to the 1970s. He lived in Shanghai from 1947-48 and became a successful businessman living and working in Hong Kong from 1949 until his death in 1994. 16 cm high, excluding wood stand

One of the rings to the cover has been broken and re-glued. Natural inclusions and veining to the stone, otherwise in good condition.
