A 17th century Flemish style ebony and tortoiseshell cabinet on stand,
with central cupboard surrounded by an arrangement of eleven drawers over a slide and three dummy drawers, on ring turned and squared underframe,

Condition:
Looks to date to the early to mid 20th century, the top and sides veneered in mahogany with some small losses and splits to the top and more notable lifting of the veneers to the sides, some of the mouldings around the short drawers to the right side have come loose but most are still present, central door opens to reveal a nonsuch interior with some small losses of the chequering and four combination dials to a back safe panel, most of the drawers lined in mahogany but the main long frieze drawer is lined in rosewood, further sections of loose moulding, drawer knobs and a finial retained in one of the drawers but some thought to be missing, stand with one section of ebony veneer missing from the right side.
