Condition:
Watercolour on paper preserved under glass in the original gilt frame, colours remain strong, some slight undulation of the paper in places but overall looks to be in good order, ground paper across the top looks unpainted and a little discoloured, titled on gilt slip and housed in a reeded frame with losses to the corners, old labels verso including a typed extract regarding Gilbert à Beckit, a cut extract of the finished picture and two other labels one stating painted by GJ Pinwell the other Kentish Town frame makers. Christie's stencil numbers 155VT and 161XA along with more recent auctioneers stickers looking to date for lot 256 30th 11 2021
