An early 20th century red tortoiseshell veneered mantel timepiece, with paste set bezel and ormolu mounts, eight day movement striking on a bell, height 8in.

Ormolu mounts have now been rubbed down to a dull finish, cracking in the tortoiseshell to the front of the case around the dial, one paste missing from the bezel at 9 o'clock, dirt specking to the dial, veneers coming away at the front left bottom corner, grille of the back door slightly pushed inwards with cracking and rubbing to the back of the case, movement complete but not tested for timekeeping.
