Tunbridgeware box has some heavy scuffing and losses to the decoration on the hinged cover, there are general scuffs and slight gouging to the varnished surface all over, there is a label underneath 'sewing basket enscribed the gift of Mr Smith to Miss C Harris for friendships..', the black lion on the edge of the swing handle is worn.
