Oil on canvas looks to have been laid on to board within the past 10 years or so, paint remains rather dirty with a fine craquelure and little bitumous bubbling in the darker areas, various scuffs and scratches to the paint and a circular ring mark to the left of his head, not signed, extensive inscriptions verso and signs of handling at some point by Sotheby's.
