A pair of 19th century Chinese cream silk satin sleeve bands, embroidered with large ornate polychrome silk motifs of crabs, birds, lilies, lotus, butterflies and other symbolic motifs

The cream silk sleeve bands are discoloured and dirty with some staining. Most of the embroidery is intact, there are a few areas where the embroidery has worn. There are slight tears on the silk to the edges of the sleeve bands, some of the gold threadwork has come away from the backing.
