Estimate £400-600
Tallest 7cm
The silvered metal side are generally in good condition, the rooks might have slightly bent finials but these could probably be repositioned by unscrewing the bases. Some of the pawn figures have a very slight lean to them and one of the bishops / soldier figures has some green verdigris in places.
The gilt metal side - one of the pawns is missing its nut fixing to the base which has been replaced with a piece of red wax and one of the bishop / soldier figures has a bent left leg and a small hole visible at the knee and the figure is now kneeling backward. All of the pieces have some wear and tarnish to them. The chess box has a purple velvet interior which is a little stained and coming away at the edges near the front and the box has a slight warp to it on one side. When it opens up to the chessboard you can see the bow on both sides of the board, with some occasional dents and scratches to the surface.
