Oil on canvas cleaned and relined 20 - 30 years ago or more, canvas remains tight, paint with some wrinkling in the dark panel to the left of the child's head and some fine craquelure showing elsewhere which is just starting to lift slightly particularly in the pink of the sky, otherwise looks a little rubbed with canvas showing through in some areas so may well have been overcleaned at some point, housed in an ornate velvet lined carved giltwood frame which is in fair order, letter giving details of the work verso.
