A single strand graduated natural saltwater pearl necklace, with old cut diamond cluster set yellow metal clasp, with GCS report dated 20/02/2019 stating the total weight to be 10.11 grams, colour-cream, lustre- very good and contains three cultured pearls, 41cm. Condition: Clasp would benefit from a good clean. Diamonds are a little grey in colour. No visible damage to the diamonds. One pearl has a slightly mottled surface, (27th pearl from the clasp) and one other pearl has what appears to be an internal flaw resembling a hairline around the circumference??(5th pearl from the largest bead in the centre.) It also appears that 17 of the smaller pearls have loss part of their nacreous layers. Not sure if any of these pears are the culutured ones. Overall condition is otherwise good.
The GCS report states that 97 of the pearls are natural saltwater pearls, diameter from 2.6 - 6.7mm, and goes on to state that there are three cultured pearls within the necklace which are amongst the smallest at positions 1, 2 and 3 so the nearest pearls to the diamond clasp.
