A George III style mahogany bookcase, with two astragal glazed doors over a fall front drawer and panelled doors, W.127cm D.62cm H.226cm Condition: Probably a marriage although the upper bookcase section is of similar age to the base, cornice has been reduced in height, top doors have original key and working lot, the bookcase top comes with three original adjustable shelves, a few short splits and minor surface wear commensurate with age to the base, the fall front drawer looks to be original but has lost all of its original internal fittings, replacement handles, a fine split running from the left side to the left side of the left handle, original lock with working key, base cupboards with old probably later lock, not working with the key, left centre of the left door has had some old patched replacements where the door has been forced at some point in its history, some radial cracks running through the grain of the panel of the left door, sides and feet with minor dents and scuffs commensurate with age. Overall of good colour but in need of internal restoration.
