Two Chinese sang de boeuf glazed vases, 18th/19th century, the largest of baluster shape, unglazed base, wood stand, the smaller of double gourd form, the inside of the neck white glazed H. 21.5cm and 15.4cm

The larger baluster vase in the Lot has some scratching and scuffing in the glaze on the exterior and the foot has a shallow chip to the edge measuring 13mm wide. There is a typical fine crackle to the glaze all over. The smaller double gourd shaped vase has fine crackle to the glaze all over, the neck is slightly off centre to the rest of the vase and there are a couple of tiny glaze flakes, one on the middle of the upper section and one on the shoulder of the lower bulbous section, these were done some time ago as they are toned down. There is also a small shallow chip to the edge of the biscuit foot which is not visible when it is standing up. Otherwise in good condition with no cracks or restoration. The wood stand that comes with the larger vase is slightly mis-shapen and wobbly
