Relined, cleaned and restored within the past 10 - 20 years or so, paint now looking a little flat with some lines of fine craquelure running throughout, signed and dated lower right, probably some retouching particularly the top corners and around the edges, now housed under glass in a modern plain gilt frame and boarded in at the back. Please see our detailed photographs of the date which appears to be after the artists death, on closer inspection the final 8 might be an inverted 3 although this is unclear.
