A Chinese polished bronze scholar's brushwasher, 17th/18th century, cast in the form of a boy beside a giant bowl decorated with lotus flowers and scrolling leaves, the base with engraved four character mark, W. 8cm

The brushwasher has been polished and has some minor nicks and scratches. There is a tiny split at the base of the brushwasher. There is white polish residue to the exterior and interior. The mark may be engraved later.
