A rare pair of Longton Hall 'Snowman' groups of sheep, c.1750-2, the sheep recumbent on shaped mound bases, one applied with a flower and leaves, l. 10cm, small areas of restoration.

The example with an applied flower has restoration to both ears of the rear sheep, and the foot of the same sheep at the back of the group. Small over glazed firing cracks to the front of the base.
The second group has restoration to three of the sheep ears, a chip above the front sheep's right eye and a slightly stained firing crack between the heads of the sheep and across the back of the rear sheep. Tiny glaze flakes to the edge of the base on both groups.
