A WWI 'Trench Art' casket, with bi-plane handle and inscriptions and plaque relating to Major Edward Mannock, together with a hardwood RFC 'propeller tip' photograph frame and other ephemera, casket 9in.

Overall the casket has a somewhat neglected appearance with dirt and oxidisation throughout, the wings of the aeroplane swivel and the propeller turns, the horseshoe above the aeroplane is inscribed MICKEY 1915, plaque to the inside of the lid says:

Fighter Ace 1915 - 17 - 18
however we believe these to be later additions.
