Grande Libellule/Large Dragonfly. A glass mascot by René Lalique, introduced on 23/5/1928, No.1145 in clear and frosted glass with a slight amethyst tint, signed engraved 'R.LALIQUE FRANCE' in capitals to the tail and also a faint 'R.LALIQUE' signature to the side above the circular base with 'FRANCE' opposite, with contemporary ring mount and later marble plinth Height with ring 20.5cm, overall 22.5cm.

A few small air bubbles but otherwise very good condition. Base mount completely encloses the base and is not removeable. SOME POLISHING TO THE UPPER SIDES OF THE WINGS, TIP OF TAIL POSSIBLY REDUCED.
