This painting was purchased from us over a year ago in very poor condition. The private buyers were offered a restoration by the Courtauld Institute as it was considered to be of some National importance (being a WW1 period work painted by a woman artist).
There is a CD from the Courtauld detailing the restoration.
The work is now relined and in very good clean condition. A little fine but stable craquelure shows in the paint.
Housed in an associated gilt frame that has some rubbing.
