Lot 268 , A rare Chinese enamelled porcelain tripod censer

A rare Chinese enamelled porcelain tripod censer, Daoguang mark and of the period (1821-50), the pea green ground exterior decorated with geometric scrolling chi-dragons, shou, ruyi heads and lappets, on three tapering cylindrical feet painted with lotus, the interior and base with turquoise ground, iron red seal mark, height 9.5cm, diameter 14.7cm, shallow rim chip

There is wear to the gilding on the rim, there is a shallow chip on the exterior of the rim which goes into the enamelled border and a couple of other tiny splinter chips to the edge, the interior turquoise glaze is grubby but could be cleaned up better and the feet lean slightly inward obviously in manufacture, general scuffs and scratches to the glaze all over, and the turquoise glaze on the base has some crazing to it, otherwise in reasonable condition.
