There is visible wear to the engraved decoration in general but particularly visible around the base rim. There are numerous little knocks/dings around the base rim also. Judging by the presence of silver solder around the interior base rim it is safe to assume there have been some old repairs. Hallmarks clear.
Engraved on inner lid 'For mother from her precious little daughter Ovie on her 2nd birthday April 22nd 1886'
