Oil on canvas relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, paint looks dirty, with a fine craquelure running throughout, and signs of old retouching running down the left margin particularly in the sky where the paint is starting to lift a little, otherwise looks to be in good order, signed and dated half way between the left corner and the centre, housed in the original ornate gilt gesso frame which shows some cracking, no labels verso, comes for sale from a deceased estate.
