Oil on canvas relined within the past 10 - 20 years or so, canvas remains tight, signs of old paint loss particularly across the bottom third of the work which was clearly originally painted onto a very coarse canvas, some slight undulation also showing in the canvas particularly near the carnations, housed in a parcel gilt ebonised frame.
