A Chinese scroll painting on silk, 19th century, painted with an Empress with female attendants, one holding a phoenix banner, and a boy riding a phoenix and holding a pomegranate, inscriptions and various seal marks, main image 103cm x 54.5cm excluding borders

There is some staining on the faces and hands of the figures, some creasing to the silk and the outline of a figure has been painted over above the child. The pink silk ends of the scroll are slightly brittle and torn and have been reinforced on the back with sellotape. One horn turning is missing to one end of the scroll, otherwise in reasonable condition.
