A Tibetan gilt copper alloy figure of Green Tara, 14th-15th century, cast seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, the right hand lowered in varadamudra and the left hand raised to the chest, each holding a flower stem, wearing a dhoti embellished with beaded jewellery inset with later turquoise glass cabochons, height 21.3cm

Provenance: UK Private collection in ownership for more than 20 years.

There is some wear to the gilding in places, please see additional photographs, consistent with age, there are some occasional losses to the 'jewels' of Green Tara's dhoti and headdress, the left hand point of Green Tara's headdress is slightly bent inward, there is some minor wear to the engraving most notably around the edge of the base and there are some slight raised nodules to the base which probably held the now lacking base panel in position, in addition to the catalogue description the figure comes complete with a tightly curled scroll of some age, this is to difficult to unroll as it would probably be damaged, otherwise in good condition with no restoration, major losses or cracks.
