A pair of Japanese silver wire cloisonne enamel ovoid vases, Meiji period, both decorated with chickens amid foliage and blossoming trees on a black ground, plated rims, 17.5cm, wood stands, fine cracks to one vase

There are fine stress cracks to a large area on one vase, to the right and through the middle of some of the foliage and around the sprig of foliage on the opposing side, there is also a tiny V shaped bruise on the shoulder, a few nicks to the rims and some slight wear to the plating on the rims, the second vase also has a tiny moon shaped bruise less than 2mm in diameter which shows as a violet spot on the shoulder to the left of the main group of foliage, otherwise in good condition with no restoration or losses. Height excludes wood stands.
