Case of good rich highly polished mahogany tone, a split running level with 10 o'clock running across to between 12 and 1 o'clock at the front of the case, this split also runs backwards on the left hand side, further finer light cracks and splitting across the hood, some light rubbing to the edges of the case, further short splits elsewhere, one running down the left side of the front of the trunk, a further crack running across the bottom, plinth looks to have been added to by about 6 inches, trunk doors - one key works both doors, dial has lost paint but looks to be the original finish, all hands look original, movement with an A shaped backplate not inscribed or numbered, looks dusty and may not have run for some years. Comes with a wooden shafted brass pendulum and one brass cased weight, winding key looks to be a later addition, not tested for timekeeping.
