A pair of early 20th century oil on ivory portrait miniatures, housed in Cantonese carved pierced ivory frames, height overall 5in.

Both frames have slight warping to hinged covers, neither of which close perfectly flat. Main bodies of frames have little warping. Image of 18thc lady circa 1900 has later discoloured card mount, otherwise in good order. Other frame more pronounced warping to doors but less warping to body. Small chip in lower left corner. Miniature dates to circa 1900 and good condition, later card mount and unattractive plastic glazing as has the other.
