A Chinese blue ground famille rose bottle vase and a hexagonal famille rose mug, c.1900-10, the vase painted with a lady holding a candlestick and an official holding a scroll on a rockwork landscape, 14.3cm, the mug painted with a lady seated on rockwork by a fruiting tree, two column calligraphic inscription, 18.5cm

Provenance: William Moule and his family, who were Christian missionaries in Ningpo (Ningbo) and Shanghai in the late 19th and early 20th century; thence by descent.
Blue ground bottle vase has some noticeable areas of scratching to the blue ground, between the trees and rockwork and between the figure holding a painting and rockwork, there is also some blurring to the blue ground around the neck and the foot in manufacture otherwise good.
The hexagonal mug has some minor typical glaze imperfections otherwise in good condition.
