A Chinese hongmu and porcelain mounted table screen, Guangxu period (1875-1908), the 28cm square famille rose porcelain plaque painted with silk weavers in an interior and the figure of a woman and child in a pavilion garden, the rosewood frame carved and pierced with key fret scrolls, lozenges and rings, on sledge feet, 61.5cm, replacement wood brackets

The edge of the porcelain plaque is difficult to examine as it is fixed in the frame but at the very bottom edge there appears to be a small splinter chip on the very edge of the plaque which really isn't that noticeable, typical minor firing imperfections to the porcelain plaque and occasional minor scratches to the enamels, the wood frame and stand are in fact a mixture of hongmu and huanghuali. The wood panel at the back of the frame has a few splits and old repairs, the stand has four replacement brackets carved in another hardwood, the left hand upright support of the stand has splits and a slight repair and there is also a split and old repair to one of the sledge feet, otherwise generally good condition.
