Two large Chinese blue and white 'double joy' vases, 19th century, each decorated with the character Shuangxi, sweetpea, scrolling foliage and bats amid clouds, lion-dog handles to each side, 60cm & 58.5cm

Both vases have star cracks to the base, one vase has some restoration on the inside of the rim, probably where there was a reasonable sized chip, there is an associate short hairline crack on the exterior, both with scratching and scuffing to the glaze.
