Lot 392 , A late Victorian silver cased brass pocket barometer, 2.25in.

A late Victorian silver cased brass pocket barometer, 2.25in.

A late Victorian silver cased brass pocket barometer, of circular form, the hinged lid engraved with armorial and motto, maker's mark for Wright & Davies, London, 1899, 2.25in.
Estimate £150-200

Unsure if the barometer is working or not. We cannot guarantee whether or not in working order. Mercury is visible up until 74 on the dial. The barometer moves a little when in the silver case ( may not have started life together??) There are three small dents around the lid. The silver case is quite scratched on the interior by the hole. Engraved armorial is quite tired. Hallmarks on lid and base clear.
