Watercolour on paper, colours remain good and strong, a little undulation showing but does appear to be laid down on to be laid down onto a black backing paper, some fine scattered foxing throughout the work really notably in the sky along with one or two tiny dirt specks, does not appear to be signed on the work itself but is titled and inscribed on the black mount, a further gilt card mount beyond this and an old glazed gilt frame. A photocopy verso of an engraving of Hastings by Havell with a label inscribed Museum and Art Gallery Reading, Havell Exhibition 1970 Cat No.36.
