Provenance: Reputedly given to the grandfather of J. S. Brownlow by the artist (see attached paperwork); Gloucester Town Hall, Loan Exhibition, July 1934

Looks untouched for many years. Notable craquelure running through the flesh tones with a finer craquelure elsewhere. Perhaps slight retouching top right.
Paint needs a clean as varnish discoloured and dirty.
Not signed, no labels verso. Gilt scroll frame in fair order with attribution plaque.
