Grant of Fleet Street, London. A Regency mahogany bracket clock, in gothic arched case with enamelled Roman dial and signed twin fusee movement, with associated wall bracket, 20.5in., in need of restoration

Good rich dark mahogany colour, some cracks running through veneers to the sides of the front and also one running up through the square top surmount, both sides with fine cracks running up from the top of the apertures, finely tooled bezel now oxidised to a dull finish, still gilt on the inside of the glass, dial looks original and in very good condition, just a few light surface scratches, naming all looks original, left hand front corner of the case has lost its simulated cluster column applique but still retains the caps at top and bottom, both side panels have now been filled with plywood drilled with holes. Small section of the ovolo moulding missing from the back of the right hand corner, back door is locked shut and has lost its grill or panelling, a few small breaks showing around the edges, movement looking very dirty and neglected, no pendulum present and movement not going, comes with an associated mahogany wall bracket, this clock comes for sale from a private home, at some point many years ago it was stolen in a burglarly and although recovered the damages it suffered were never repaired, it is now ripe for restoration.
